Beauty in broken things.

Kintsugi (金継ぎ, "golden joinery"), also known as kintsukuroi (金繕い, "golden repair"),[1] is the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery by mending the areas of breakage with lacquer dusted or mixed with powdered gold, silver, or platinum;

My partner, much like myself likes to create, in her case, by knitting, after our puppy knocked her yearn bowl off the table, we had the idea to repair it using the Kintsugi method with a few modern notes.

I repaired the bowl using fast set epoxy mixed with a copper mica powder to complement the blue of the bowl. This returned it to it’s pre-broken smoothness (very important when using yarn).
