Masking like a fighter.

Given the COVID Pandemic I dove into finding ways to make it stylish to wear a mask, this was done as part of learning slicing using Prusaslicer.

The initial step required that the mask be split and reinforced with supports, hence the mass web of filament along the backside of the print (which came off surprisingly clean).

After cleaning off the supports, I plastic welded the mask together, sanded the joint smooth and washed the print.

After priming I proceeded to hand paint the mask and attached flexible webbing straps. Shaping was achieved by placing the mask in a 170 oven for 60 seconds and forming it to better fit to my face.
